Job Description:
Starcorr Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Technician in Temple, TX. The Quality Technician inspects products to ensure that they meet defined standards for customer satisfaction or any other metric that the industry considers a measure of quality. Starcorr Sheets truly values our employees as our greatest asset and we strive to support both you and your family at work and in life. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Responsible for dimensional data with handheld metrology instruments and equipment.
  • Conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.
  • Perform measurements on raw materials as required by incoming inspection procedures.
  • Responsible for corrugate analysis and attempting destruction of products to ensure quality.
  • Perform in-process and final dimensional audits as required.
  • Shares responsibility for department housekeeping and safety with other Inspectors.
  • Communicates with supervisors and other members of Mfg. management as needed to answer questions, resolve problems, or determine priorities.
  • Responsible for completing product testing on a timely basis.
  • Maintains accurate and organized quality records.
  • Responsibility with other team members for meeting manufacturing and delivery schedules.
  • Has daily contact with manufacturing to discuss in-process audits. Has regular contact with Quality & Manufacturing management to resolve production problems.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform UN Certifications daily.
  • Perform mill claims as needed.
  • Send out required QSP testing each month.
  • Perform waste report daily.
  • Additional Duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma.
  • One year of inspection experience, preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Converting experience, a plus but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Must also be able to stand for long periods of time and walk the floor when needed.
