Job Description: The Quality Technician is a temporary duty with a 6-month assignment that provides direct support on quality and compliance to internal departments and programs whilst remaining aligned to company-wide strategic business objectives. Responsible for implementing best practice, preventative, and continuous improvement quality management systems that provide customer satisfaction. Employees who are on this assignment will not change their job title, rate of pay or immediate supervisor. At the end of the 6-month assignment, the employee will rotate back to their position and another eligible employee will be selected to participate in the program. Employees participating in the program will have a dotted line reporting structure to the designated Quality Engineer responsible for the administration and training of the program
Tasks Description:- Perform process and product audits to ensure Quality Standards are continuously achieved.
- Assure products are being built to specification.
- Inspect and measure incoming components to ensure they are within specification.
- Perform quality inspections on sample builds, critical customer orders and redo orders.
- Act as the contact person with customer service for customer redo's when necessary.
- Assist in processing non-conforming material including data gathering and reporting back to suppliers.
- Investigate customer return data and compile reports at the instruction of the quality engineers.
- Compile reports from customer returns where photos are available.
- Train operations team members on Product Quality Standards.
- Interact with cross functional team in a professional manner even in difficult circumstances.
- Responsible for training the incoming Quality Tech participant into the program.
Eligibility Criteria:To be eligible to participate in the program, an employee must have:
- Experience at Sensaria Raleigh
- Basic computer skills - E-mail, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- FileMaker knowledge
- Assistant lead or higher experience
- Experience across multiple value streams at Sensaria Raleigh
INTELLECTUAL DEMANDS:- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
- Ability to investigate problems and identify potential root causes of problems.
- Deliver assignments in a timely manner.
- Take clear directions.
- Communicate effectively and professionally.
Employees who are interested in participating in this program must sign up and participate in the interview process. There will be a selection process for each 6-month assignment. Employees cannot participate in two consecutive assignment periods.Employees who are assigned to this program must meet performance expectations or will be subject to early removal from this program and return to their previous role.
