Quality Technician - Holland, Michigan DISHER is currently partnering with a supply chain company specializing in providing high-quality products primarily for the office furniture and medical device industries. They are currently searching for a Quality Technician who follows basic quality techniques to track, analyze and report on materials, processes and products to ensure they meet the organization's quality standards.

- Ensure all processes and products meet established specifications and quality standards.
- Apply effective problem-solving methodologies to address quality issues.
- Create and update Quality Alerts as needed to maintain product integrity.
- Determine inspection requirements for incoming materials, identifying inspect/no inspect status.
- Support sorting processes for nonconforming products to ensure compliance.
- Conduct on-site inspections at both customer and supplier locations.
- Initiate and manage reports for nonconforming materials, ensuring swift resolution.
- Communicate final decisions on the disposition of products and materials.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection and testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Implement and sustain FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices as required.
- Provide quality support to the Assembly Department, including handling rejected materials.
- Oversee the Quality HOLD location to ensure proper material management.
- Perform 5S duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What will make you successful:
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office required.
- Experience as an Internal ISO 9001 Auditor is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, customers, and associates.
- Familiarity with basic inspection tools such as calipers and gauge pins is essential.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.
- A valid driver's license and hi-lo operator certification are preferred.
- Ability to accurately distinguish colors according to established color standards.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of Quality related work experience required.
- Adhere to the dress code requiring neat, groomed appearance with leather shoes, no graphic clothing, torn items, or sweatpants, and follow safety guidelines including wearing safety glasses and securing hair in designated areas; inappropriate attire will be addressed by management
