We are seeking a Quality Technician to work closely with our manufacturing team at Terra Sonic. As a Quality Technician, you'll ensure our manufacturing processes meet Terra Sonic's high-quality standards. You'll collaborate with machinists, fabricators, assembly personnel, and engineers to verify process controls, contribute to new product development, monitor vendor quality, and uphold Terra Sonic's commitment to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement in product performance, supporting rapid changes in materials and processes.
  • Conduct audits to verify compliance with Terra Sonic's Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Develop work instructions, forms, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform process capability studies to prevent process drift and ensure quality.
  • Track non-conformance costs and recommend improvement projects.
  • Monitor and present customer feedback to management, suggesting corrective action projects when needed.
  • Collect and format data on purchased components to assess supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to verify that products meet Terra Sonic's specifications.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experienced with measurement devices such as micrometers, dial bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMM.
  • Skilled in conducting first-article inspections and assisting machinists and fabricators with critical measurements.
  • Knowledgeable in FMEA, control plans, and maintaining calibration schedules for measurement devices.
  • Competent in root cause analysis techniques such as Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, and Pareto Charts.
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in applied science or engineering field with 3+ years of experience as a Quality Technician or Quality Engineer in manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
