Job Title: Quality Technician Duration: 6 months Work Location: Dr. Sugar Land, TX ,77478 Job Type: Contract Work Type: Onsite Job Description: Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests and inspect documentation, parts and components, materials, subassemblies and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standard work instructions.
- Use measurement systems with valid calibration and acceptable repeatability and reproducibility.
- Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
- Document the results of inspections and tests using the designated business system, following the defined procedure and test plan.
- Verify stability of results over time as applicable.
- Participate in job risk and failure root cause analysis and related corrective actions.
- Lead process audits, inspections and verification of quality records for manufacturing products.
Technical Knowledge and Experience:
- Reading and interpreting drawings and GD&T.
- ISO Measuring and Testing Equipment requirements or equivalent.
- Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical inspection experience for a minimum of 2 Years, or experience as electromechanical assembler for 4 to 5 Years.
- Capable of using a microscope, caliper, micrometer, multimeter, micro height gauge.
Skills:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
- Able to provide feedback and lessons learnt to Production Personnel in a positive and clear manner
- Able to work independently (minimum supervision).
- Able to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferrable:
- Yellow / Green Belt training / certification
- SAP experience
- Auditing experience
- IPC610/620 training / certification
