We are a widely recognized, award winning supplier that believes in on time delivery of high quality products at a competitive price to its customers.To learn more about us orto see a full list of our current job openings at each of our plant locations, visit our website atthediezgroup.comThe Diez Group has locations (listed below) currently seeking a:QUALITY TECHNICIANDearborn, MI – April SteelWhat you get:Competitive compensationPaid vacationObserved holidaysWeekly paychecksReferral bonusTraining and advancementMedical, dental, and vision insurance plansHealth savings accountLife and disability insurance401K plansWhat are the job responsibilities of the Quality Technician for the Diez Group?Assist in maintain the Document Control System – update all internal documentation for ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 as well as related controlled documents, both internal and external.Conduct ongoing audits of effectiveness including containment, sorting and rework methods.Ensure that process conditions are monitored and controlled for product consistency and according to the specifications.Perform visual, mechanical and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specifications and quality standards.Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.Train personnel on proper compliance and adherence to new or updated procedures.Use FMEA and 5S tools to drive continuous improvement within our business.Ensure product and process changes are made only according to the sequence of activities specified in the MSA/CSA process.Maintain all press books and specifications.Assist in updating shift scorecards, trend charts, management review charts, IATF process measurable & management scorecards and publish as required.Enter feed forward information from the steel mills.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsWhat does it take to be a Quality Technicianfor the Diez Group?Below are the minimum qualifications for a Quality Technician.High School diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree preferred, in related fieldQuality experience within the manufacturing industry is a plusFamiliarity with IATF, ISO, Document Control fundamentals & Quality Management SystemsAuditing experience is a plusIntermediate knowledge in MS Office, including Excel, Word & OutlookAll candidates must be flexible regarding shifts and overtimeOutstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and develop staff membersSolid problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at one timeKnowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry and containment processesDemonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdhere to attendance policy
