Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Inspects and calibrates a wide variety of tools, gauges, fixtures, dies and special parts for dimensional accuracy. Issues gauge recalls for inspection and re-calibration.
- Maintains the gauge control databases for gauge calibration scheduling. Maintains all necessary logs, records and reports for gauge calibration and receiving inspection, including all personal tools for employees.
- Issues gauge recalls for inspection and re-calibration purposes.
- Responsible for editing and writing procedures concerning gauge calibration.
- Compiles and updates detailed reports of calibration findings. Assists quality engineering and inspection in gauge calibration and inspection issues.
- Reads and interprets various industry and customer specifications regarding calibration systems and records.
- Practice safe work habits, and maintain a clean working environment
- Continuously builds technical skills in area of expertise and performs other duties as required.
- Learn and adhere to required safety standards and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Three (3) years of a strong manufacturing background.
- Minimum One (1) year of experience in all types of gauge calibration and inspection.
- Knowledge of pi tapes, calipers, micrometers, height gage, set rings, gage blocks, dial bore gage, controllers.
- Knowledge and experience with pyrometry and AMS 2750F preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong technical and administrative skills.
- Possess high integrity and ethical standards.
- Demonstrates basic computer skills.
- Ability to plan and perform unusual and difficult work processes.
- Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels employees, customers and vendors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
- Understanding of tools and equipment.
- Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment
