Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Quality Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of incoming materials and products. This position is responsible for performing detailed inspections, audits, and calibrations, as well as maintaining accurate records and quality systems. The Quality Technician will work closely with various departments to support continuous improvement and uphold the company's quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough inspections of incoming materials to ensure they meet specified quality standards. Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformities.Conduct detailed inspections on materials throughout the production process as required, ensuring compliance with quality specifications.Accurately input quality data into spreadsheets and specialized programs. Perform statistical analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.Actively participate in group problem-solving activities, contributing to the identification and resolution of quality issues.Perform regular calibrations on gauges and coordinate the sending out of gauges for external calibration as needed.Conduct in-process audits, both internal and external, to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.Manage non-conforming materials, including documentation, disposition, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.Report on line performance, updating charts and graph displays to provide clear and accurate information on quality metrics.Essential SkillsProficiency in data entry and statistical analysis.Familiarity with quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inspection tools and equipment, as well as software used for quality data management.2+ years of experience in manufacturing (Quality): Required5+ years of experience in manufacturing (any area): PreferredProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel- ability to open/enter data/manipulate spreadsheets): RequiredEmail experience (open/create/send email): RequiredEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system software experience: PreferredValid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment that meets company insurance standardsWhy Work Here?Our company offers an attractive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition reimbursement, legal plan, 401K, paid time off (PTO), and more.
