Job Type Full-time Description
- Perform Quality role in working with operations employees, suppliers and customers to solve problems through statistical problem solving and corrective action methodologies.
- Inspect incoming material, work in progress and final product using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, eddy current equipment, ultrasonic equipment, dye penetrant inspection and other equipment as needed.
- Implement and maintain a gauge calibration system.
- Assist management with maintenance and continual improvement of Quality Management System key processes.
- Give input to quality management to Identify and implement process improvements.
- Monitor results-based quality metrics and identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Quality Professional with 1-2 years implementing effective Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment desired.
- Responsible for gathering information for process documentation.
- Must have knowledge of specific steel specifications.
- Must have knowledge of metrology practices, including eddy current and ultra-sonic technologies.
- Proven usage of statistical methods to assure quality.
