Location: Muskego,WI, USA
The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards. This role involves maintaining and auditing quality standards, inspecting, testing, and measuring materials and finished products, as well as documenting results and working closely with production teams and customers to resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Inspection and Testing:
· Perform routine and non-routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established standards and procedures.
· Utilize precision measuring instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy.
· Calibrate WCS's test equipment and employees' tools; ensure calibrations are within specs and up to date.
· Perform Gage R and R's and capability studies.
· Cleanliness testing.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Record and maintain detailed inspection and testing data.
· Prepare reports on quality findings, including non-conformance reports, and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
· Maintain IATF/ISO document control. Assist in the development and maintenance of quality documentation and records.
· Maintain and calculate various metrics.
· Create PPAP documentation and participate in APQP process
· Submit IMDS
· Perform required annual layouts
· Submit required annual CQI-9 documentation
Quality Control:
· Monitor and control the quality of production processes and products.
· Identify and analyze quality issues and deviations and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions.
· Perform Internal Audits of IATF/ISO Management System. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
· Conduct root cause analyses and corrective action for customer complaints and rejections.
· Conduct root cause analyses and corrective action for internal rejections and process variation
Collaboration:
· Work closely with production and engineering teams to address quality concerns and implement improvements.
· Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements based on inspection results and industry best practices.
Training and Support:
· Assist in training production staff on quality standards and procedures.
Provide support during internal and external quality audits.
Qualifications
Computer Skills:
Ability and knowledge relevant to ERP Systems, specifically Global Shop ERP system, and Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Education/Experience:
2 year Technical/Associates degree; and 1-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with quality management systems, IATF/ISO and regulatory requirements.
