Job Description:
Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future As a Quantitative Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mathematical models, and statistical techniques to analyze and interpret complex data sets. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify business opportunities, develop strategies, and provide data-driven insights to drive business decisions. Responsibilities May Include:
  • Develop advanced mathematical and statistical models to analyze large data sets, market trends, and investment opportunities.
  • Develop and refine quantitative models and strategies to identify patterns and predict market movements.
  • Design and implement data visualization tools to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with traders to develop and implement quantitative trading strategies.
  • Design trading strategies based on quantitative models and changing market conditions.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and modeling of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Work with Market Analysis Data Team and IT teams to develop and implement data pipelines and integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and tools in quantitative analysis and apply this knowledge to improve analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve data quality, data governance, and data analytics capabilities.
  • Provide training and support to business stakeholders on data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other analysts and teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in quantitative models and strategies and identify techniques and tools to minimize potential losses.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate quantitative analysis, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and clients.
Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2 or more years of experience in quantitative analysis or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
  • Experience with statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, or Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with big data analytics tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and models
  • Master's degree in Quantitative Analysis or a related field (preferred)
  • Knowledge of financial markets and instruments (e.g. stocks, bonds, derivatives)
  • Experience with cloud-based computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with AI tools such as Chat GPT and CoPilot.
  • Knowledge of SQL programming language
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
