APAC-Central, Inc. and its founding companies have been serving our customers since early in the 20th Century and look forward to continued success in the 21st Century!Job Description SummaryThe selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.Performs daily maintenance of equipment as follows:Operates rock, sand and gravel plant to batch, crush, or segregate materials used in construction.Moves controls on panel board or control board to control feeding, crushing, and sifting machinery in sand and gravel plant.Observes gauges, dials and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.Assists in maintenance of plant equipment and in compiling reports regarding plant production and plant maintenance.Must be able to climb stairs/ladders to top of plant.Uses tools such as sledge hammer, wrench, screwdriver, cutting torch, welder, pneumatic hammer/drill, sand blaster, pipe wrench.Answers telephone, radio, and takes and inputs orders.Other duties as assigned.Work RequirementsThe ideal candidate will:Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.Pass a pre-employment Fit for Work  physical.Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.Report to work at the designated start time.Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.Be able to work overtime when required.Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.Must be able to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, and reach.
