Job Description
Eataly's bustling marketplaces contain a variety of quick service counters featuring coffee and drinks, pastries and gelato, pizza and focaccia, paninis and grab-and-go meal options. The QSR Specialist assists with the day-to-day operations of the QSR counters. Reports to the QSR General Manager and the QSR Assistant General Managers.
Responsibilities
- Provides service across all QSR counters, ensuring the team consistently meets high standards of hospitality.
- Sets up stations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.).
- Ensures all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standards.
- Manages transactions and ensures accurate accounting.
- Prepares necessary collateral, weighs, labels, packages and serves products.
- Supports, motivates, guides, educates and mentors team members.
- Monitors inventory, checks orders and distributes supplies as needed throughout the department.
- Ensures department complies with all quality, health, safety and sanitation standards.
- Documents, investigates, resolves and escalates guest incidents.
- Assists with administrative duties as needed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred.
- 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience in food service.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of coffee and coffee production.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage preferred.
Job Requirements
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.
- Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer and cash register.
