Job Summary
Support and quote all projects for customers. Support the Enterprise Sales team by providing technical information and product knowledge. Provide a high level of customer service while fulfilling closed bids and quotes.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
* Manages bids, calling on municipalities, attending openings, promoting products and following up on bid awards. Correlates all cost information within time frame of bid date and time needed by contractors and sales.
* Prepares formal quotations and submittals under the direction of estimators & salesmen.
* Revise quotes and enter revised pricing per addendums.
* Manages RFQ's, checking with purchasing agent/buyer for pending RFQ's and searching internet for new RFQ's.
* Maintains and logs projects for quotations.
* Assists with project management and coordinates deliverables.
* Acts as focal point for questions concerning specifics of quotes and proposals. Prepares monthly reports tracking quotation activity and key metrics.
* Meets with customers and strengthens professional relationships.
Nature and Scope
* Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis, techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
* Nature of work requires general supervision, exercises judgment. Will be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
* May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel.
Work Environment
* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
* Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
* Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
* Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.
Education and Experience
* High School diploma.
* Trade School or other certification a plus.
* College Degree - not required but a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of product lines for water and sewer products.
* Understanding of pipe used in water & sewer systems - ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, etc..
* Trade experience - plumbing, pipeline crew.
