Barnstable Public Schools is seeking candidates for the position of Head Custodian for Barnstable United Elementary School
Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Qualifications:
1) Ability to operate cleaning equipment, perform minor maintenance, and move furniture
2) Ability to complete tasks within specific timelines and occasionally with little prior notice
3) Ability to work in group situations requiring teamwork, cooperation and to follow oral and written instructions
4) Possession of a Motor Vehicle License issued by the Massachusetts DMV
5) Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff, students, and the public
General Duties:
Plans, coordinates, and assigns the daily cleaning activities to BUES School Custodial Staff.
Supports building use events with planning, coordination, and assignments for set up, break down, and clean up.
Coordinates with the District Custodial Supervisor to modify staff schedules to meet the needs during vacation weeks, summer break, and half-day professional development days.
Direct daily supervision of BUES Custodial staff.
Establishes systems that ensure daily cleaning and deep cleaning as required.
Ensures that equipment is maintained through cleaning routines, as well as, scheduling external maintenance when necessary.
Monitors, orders, and maintains supplies required for BWB Custodial Staff.
Participate in snow removal operations for the BWB Facility.
Reports to the District Custodial Supervisor
