Diaper dermatitis is a significant consumer pain for babies, toddlers and adults with incontinence. Our goal is to develop ground-breaking technology solutions which reduce the incidence, severity, and duration of diaper dermatitis without introducing other performance trade-offs. This intern proposal is in support of growing the material innovation platforms in core and novel material design, with a focus on developing solutions that improve skin health.

Work with a team to explore delivering new skin health benefits through existing material platforms, such as nonwovens and films. The focus of the work will be on evaluating new ways to deliver improvements in dryness and/or the delivery of skin actives through our absorbent systems.

Job Qualifications

Skills we are seeking:

* Pursuing PhD in a field with heavy emphasis on thermoplastic polymeric materials, including polymer processing and material characterization

* Minor in Engineering field with heavy emphasis on material science (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering, Textile Engineering with Chemical Process Concentration)

* Preferred backgrounds in any of the following: thermoplastic polymer processing, polymer characterization, and non-wovens

* Innate curiosity for solving problems, learning how things work, understanding the why

* Propensity for hands-on work, such as physical experimentation and prototyping

* Experience in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation.

* Proficiency in using relevant software tools for data analysis and visualization.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in multi-functional teams.

* Self-motivated, proactive, self-starter, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
