Visit vibrantz.com to learn more.Job Function:This position is in the Research & Development (R&D) Department within the Advanced Materials business unit of Vibrantz Technologies, of which Vibrantz Surface Technology is a subsidiary. The Department is charged with developing new products, providing technical service to our customers, qualifying alternate raw materials, and providing support to operations. Specifically, this position performs hands-on research, develop, and improve products from product conception to scale-up for surface finishing polishing. The product will be used for semiconductor and substrate polishing customer. This position is asked to take project leadership role, this includes interfacing with the sales/marketing group and customers to define the project goals, ensuring these goals are both commercially and scientifically viable, and developing experimental plans and test methods to evaluate the performance of the developmental products. Working with production, process development, and quality control teams to ensure successful commercialization of new products. Maintain records of the work conducted, provide regular (e.g. weekly) updates, and share it in R&D department meeting.0-10%Support implementation of new processes at Vibrantz's operating plants.Participate annual surface finishing conference and seminars.5%Follow safety rules and practices. Participate in R&D, corporate, and plant safety activities.REQUIREMENTSBA/BS Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experienceThe ability to operate in a self-directed manner and make independent decisions is required.Ability to work well in a team environment and lead product development efforts to successfully complete assigned product development projects.Ability to carry out efficient communication with team members as well as internal and external customers.Strong oral and written English communication skills are required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Preferred Requirements:Doctor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, and of material science with demonstrated knowledge in chemistry and/or chemical engineering, and colloidal particle modification chemistry would be a plus.Understanding of solution chemistry effect to the surface treatment on abrasive, substrate and deposit films would be a plus.Experience with DOE design statistic software is an advantage.Work experience in lab or industrial process engineering of semiconductor related field, specifically of chemical mechanical polishing or surface finishing treatments is an advantage.LocationPenn Yan, NYVibrantz is committed to protecting your privacy.
