Job Summary: This job is in the R&D group of Keysight High Frequency Measurement Center of Excellence (HFM COE), located at the company headquarters in beautiful Santa Rosa, California, approximately 50 miles north of San Francisco. HFM COE is responsible for developing world-leading network analyzers, signal analyzers, signal generators and transceivers, that are utilized to design and test next-generation products in cellular communications, satellite systems, automotive collision avoidance, and other high frequency wireless systems. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our squad and contribute to architect, design, develop state-of-the-art software for our Signal Analyzer and Electronic Measurement Applications. The ideal candidate will obtain the knowledge ranging from lower-level hardware/firmware integration, through measurement algorithm design, to upper-level customer-facing application implementation, ensuring the customer requirements are met on software. In addition to participating in the full software lifecycle using Agilent methodology, this role will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity. The candidate will address development, performance and optimization concerns, bringing passion and motivation to the delivery of cutting-edge technologies that shape the future. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development and documentation for new features or existing features enhancements driven by customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize the requirements.
- Review, analyze and optimize the architecture of the product with innovative solutions.
- Develop and improve the GUI & remote-control usability continuously.
- Define and develop the interfaces between firmware (hardware control) and software.
- Follow the coding rules and conduct code reviews with constructive feedback.
- Leverage RF measurement science knowledge to contribute to design in the relevant projects.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronical Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years software engineering experience, with consistent success designing and delivering solutions.
- Proven experience with software developing, building and debugging
- Proficiency in C#, C++, .NET, WPF, MVVM
- Familiarity with Agile development and development environments, as TFS, GIT, Jenkins, Jira, etc.
- Understand customer requirement and provide expertise for delivering innovative solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and passion for professional growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills to work in a team environment to achieve objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic RF Measurement Science knowledge and telecommunication specifications.
- Experience with Measurement Instruments (signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below: MIN $115,770 ~ MAX $181k.
