YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead and/or support detailed engineering design, development, and implementation of new sterile disposable product designs utilized in radiology and cardiovascular medical procedures;
- Conduct or direct testing in a Research and Development lab environment to verify concept product designs;
- Research and develop new technologies associated with sterile medical disposable products;
- Author detailed product requirements / design inputs;
- Lead verification / validation testing of production intent products using novel product designs;
- Create various design history file documentation throughout the product development process including technical assessments, test protocols / reports, and various engineering documentation;
- Provide knowledge of plastic materials and manufacturing processes;
- Support verification and validation of production intent product;
- Able to lead small teams on lower complexity project activities;
- Leads design reviews and participates in other design reviews as a supplementary reviewer;
- Writes scientific protocols, manages or performs the execution of the protocols, analyzes results, and writes reports;
- Manages own work activities to given objectives with supervision;.
- Effectively convey problems, opportunities and results;
- Ability to perform statistical analysis using Minitab.
WHO YOU AREBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical, and/or plastic engineering with a minimum of 2 years of full-time relevant work experience;
- Competency in the use of lab equipment including Instron, melt flow tester, and data logging devices;
- Working knowledge and proven skills in PC computer operating system including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing industry.
