Position Title: R&D/Technical Service Chemist/Engineer
Location: Bedford, TX
Reports to: Vice President, Hot Cast Elastomers

Position Overview:
We are looking for an R&D/Technical Service Chemist/Engineer to support our growth in advanced and differentiated technologies in the specialty cast polyurethane market. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and a strong desire to continuously learn, collaborate and innovate in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Formulate and synthesize urethane prepolymers and systems
• Operate various analytical, physical, and polymer physics testing equipment (e.g., HPLC, IR, DMA, Instron, Rheometer, Titration, Viscometer)
• Perform deep vacuum evaporation/distillation on lab and pilot-scale equipment
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide product recommendations and resolve processing issues, including onsite support
• Work with manufacturing teams on new product introductions and quality issue resolution
• Create detailed summary reports of laboratory work with clear conclusions and recommendations
• Additional responsibilities may emerge over time with new research avenues
• Lift or move containers weighing up to 55 lbs as needed

Required Qualifications:
• BS Degree minimum in Polymer Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree is an asset but not a requirement.
• Proficiency with standard office software (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Previous relevant experience in polymers (especially polyurethanes) is a plus but not a requirement.
