JOB TITLE: Resources for Indigenous Survivors and Empowerment (R.I.S.E.) Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage victim service programs for victims of crime, domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, human trafficking and elder/vulnerable adult abuse.
* Supervise R.I.S.E. staff
* Develop a volunteer plan and oversee staff that work with groups of volunteers who provide direct and indirect service.
* Research and inform advocates about referrals for victims to community agencies and other resources such as safe housing, shelters, job training, legal, family counseling, etc.
* Assist child welfare social workers in cases involving domestic violence and sexual assault by providing consulting and assigning advocates to provide outreach to the recommended clients.
* Research and prepare grants and funding proposals to private, local, state and federal funding sources in collaboration with Director and Grants Manager.
* Contribute to the preparation of grant budgets and reimbursement claims.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies for the programs and prevention efforts.
* Assist in the development of RISE communications materials such as brochures, newsletters, and social media posts
* Develop a public education plan, provide training through public speaking and other means about domestic violence, sexual assault, and related issues
* Train community members and professionals about Coordinated Community Response (CCR) for sexual assault/domestic violence and assist agencies in creating and implementing these groups.
* Attend conferences and workshops related to sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, stalking, dating violence, elder/vulnerable adult abuse and transitional housing.
* Maintain DV/SA certification and SOH (Survivors of Homicide) certification.
* Safeguard confidentiality, RISE/Family Services communications and records at all times.
* Attend various funder, networking, coalition and partnership meetings in conjunction with or as assigned by the Social Services Director.
* Fill in and provide support on behalf of clients when there are no Victim Advocates available.
* Coordinate and facilitate support groups for survivors.
* Research, plan and implement needs assessments to further develop RISE.
* Develop and maintain program policies.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as required for grants.
* Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master Degree in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology or related field and 2 years' experience with advocacy or case management, family violence intervention, counseling, and/or crisis intervention OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience related to domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy preferred.
* Must be eligible for certification by the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault, the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and the Survivors of Homicide (SOH).
* Experience in grant writing and reporting.
* Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable.
* Willingness to learn and incorporate skills in the cultural context of the Meskwaki community.
* Must submit to and successfully complete a background investigation.
* Must be willing to be on call evenings and weekends.
* Must be proficient in computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheet, internet, email, etc.
* Must be willing and able to travel.
SUPERVISION:
* Supervised by the Family Services Director.
