Responsibilities include maintaining RP policies and procedures in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements and managing and applying RP concepts in the workplace.Administer and maintain the Company's RP plan and implementing procedures.Oversee operations daily to ensure all employees follow RP procedures and employ best practices.Perform job and work site hazards analyses and reviews; work with employees and management to define hazards controls to be integrated into planning activities, processes, work instructions, and work execution.Monitor and evaluate activities and work areas, and address safety issues and concerns with employees; provide feedback into the work processes of issues observed.Regularly inspect and audit facilities and practices for safety compliance and address issues or concerns promptly.Maintain and use monitoring equipment such as gas detectors, decibel meters, thermometers, etc.Capture and report RP event notifications, investigations, and root causes analyses.Track and report Company RP metrics/key performance indicators.Coordinate, track, and provide RP-related training in conjunction with the Training Manager and/or EH&S.Maintain continuous improvement of the Company's safety culture.Requirements:Active DOD Top Secret or DOE/NRC Q-clearance or equivalent.Bachelor or associate degree in Radiation Protection, Health Physics, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an industrial, nuclear, or manufacturing environment.Previous experience in Radiation Protection at a commercial nuclear facility (preferred).Knowledge of OSHA 300 reporting and accident investigation requirements.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Ability to perform audits, write and submit reports.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated training and peer influencing skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
