Position: Radiation Therapist
Job Type: Full-Time (FTE)
Location: Las Cruces-NM
Base Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 +Best-in-class benefits
Responsibilities:
* Radiation Therapy Administration: Safely and accurately operate radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed dosages of ionizing radiation to treat tumors and other conditions.
* Treatment Preparation: Assist in pretreatment preparations, including patient simulations and fabrication of treatment devices.
* Patient Care: Provide support, education, and compassion to cancer patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Radiation Oncologist, other therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure coordinated and high-quality care.
* Training & Development: Assist in onboarding new team members and educating students in the field of radiation therapy.
* Safety & Compliance: Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control measures, and other relevant guidelines.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting treatment details and any pertinent observations.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Four-year degree preferred.
Experience:
* Must be knowledgeable about the operation, safety standards, and handling of radiation-producing equipment within the department.
* Possesses experience and capabilities deemed sufficient by the Chief Therapist and Radiation Oncologist.
* Two (2) or more years of experience as a Radiation Therapist Required.
Certifications/Licensure:
* Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
* Must be licensed by the state or eligible for licensure.
* CPR certification required.
