We are committed to offering our patients the best care by adding talented healthcare professionals.Salary:Competitive salary starting at $28 per hour (we pay based on years of experience) with up to a $7,500 sign-on bonus!At WellNow Urgent Care you'll enjoy:Competitive salaryParental leaveContinuing education opportunitiesMedical benefits, including vision coverage, FSA/HSA options, and prescription drug coverage401(k) plan with a company match for your future financial securityFree urgent care visits for you and your immediate family membersScrubs provided to ensure a professional and comfortable work environmentOpportunities for promotional growth as we continue to expand our presenceResponsibilitiesPrepares patients for radiological procedures and conducts x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safetyUses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materialsEnsures radiology equipment is functioning appropriately and reports equipment malfunctions to the department headLogs radiologic proceduresObtains pre-authorization from insurance companies for CT scansEnsures all radiographs achieve a radiographic interpretation by our teleradiology companyClarifies discrepancy radiology readings with the medical providerGreets, registers patients and performs other front desk dutiesPerforms basic medical assisting/occupational medicine technician duties to ensure proper patient flowAnswers and appropriately triages phone callsCleans and stocks the site with other members of the team0-25% Travel RequirementsMinimum Education and Experience:Understanding of the anatomy and physiology necessary to perform x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movementKnowledge of radiology equipment, including safety hazards common to radiology.Capability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problemsCapacity to apply written instructions and standardized work practices and protocolsAbility to perform all job duties with no accommodations, including lift up to 50 pounds, repeatedly bend and twist, and standing for up to 10-12 hours dailyFriendly and outstanding customer service skillsStrong critical thinking skillsBasic computer skills, including the use of multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Education:Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programRequired License or Certification:Active ARRT, ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification and RegistrationApplicable state licensure (as required by state)Active Drivers LicenseWellNow is an EOE
