  • Role: X-Ray Tech
  • Job Location: 2200 E. Maple Ave, El Segundo, CA 90245
  • Float Location: 5215 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA 90503
  • Facility: CSMN - Coastal Ortho Torrance Crisis Response
  • Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
  • Job Duration: 13 weeks (With potential to convert into FTE or high possibility of extension)
  • Pay Range: $35/hr to $40/hr
Required Qualifications:
  • *** Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
  • *** Limited X-Ray license with experience in extremities and orthopedics
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
  • 6+ months working as an MA in an Orthopedic setting
  • 1+ year of experience in an outpatient medical or healthcare setting
  • Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
  • Experience with would care and cast care
Preferred Qualifications :
  • 2+ years working as a MA in outpatient Orthopedics
  • Experience with CS-Link/Epic
  • Experience with Allscripts
  • Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
Job Duties :
  • Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
  • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
  • Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
  • Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
  • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
  • Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
Education:
  • Associate Degree
