Job Summary and QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:
1. Perform all duties outlined in competencies for radiologic technician
2. Perform all duties and requirements as outlined in department policies
3. Gain the appropriate training and experience for the specialty in which they work.
4. Have a sound understanding of all Radiation and other safety procedures.
5. Responsible for maintaining appropriate license and continuing education
6. Ensures communication of schedule with supervisors in both base and receiving departments.
7 Preform imaging in multiple areas (diagnostic, OR, fluoroscopy etc.)
8. Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and upgrades.
9. Remain current in department schedule changes.
10. Keep updated on current protocol changes.
11. Make themselves available for all reasonable requests for services.
What qualifications you will need:Education and training from an accredited radiology technology program or equivalent.
Possess a valid Texas Department of Health licensure as a Certified Medical Radiological Technologist in the state of Texas (CMRT). A.R.R.T. required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
