All duties are performed according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. To meet the staffing needs of the department, as necessary, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the YNHH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location.EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran
Responsibilities:REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION (number of years and type required to perform the position duties): Enrolled in A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program.
EXPERIENCE (number of years and type required to meet an acceptable level of performance): Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry level standards of routine radiography. RT (R) certification by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Connecticut State Radiographer License is requiredwithin 120 days of hire date. CPR Certification within six (6) months.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Demonstrates a basic understanding and technical skill with routine radiography, CR / Digital imaging techniques ,knowledge of computer / Pacs applications, and good organizational and communication /customer service skills.
ACCOUNTABILITY (how this position is held accountable for such as goals achievement, budget adherence, or other areas of accountability): Must meet the performance expectations as defined in the Radiologic Technologist Trainee position description . Performance and competency will be assessed continually by the supervisor /manager. Any areas that aredetermined to be unsatisfactory will require additional training and re -evaluation within 30 days. It is the expectationthat Trainees will become board certified, licensed, and competent to be promoted to a Rad Tech 1 within 120 days.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:ARRT and CT License after 120 days after hire date
