With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.This opportunity entails being responsible for managing project(s) throughout their full lifecycle including developing the scope and technical sections of proposals and overseeing the delivery of the project plan. This position proactively manages the budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and client communications in support of the project's objectives. They will provide high-level technical oversight while managing and reviewing design specifications, calculations, reports, and plans. They will coordinate with internal and external partners including cross-discipline and functional teams to address and problem-solve design-related concerns. The Project Manager II - Engineering typically manages multi-disciplinary project team(s) for one or more strategic (Supports transit and railroad projects at all stages from conceptual study and alternative analysis to final design and construction-related services. Types of projects may include interlocking renewals, bridge replacements, new track construction, and station designs for Amtrak, SEPTA, PATCO, PATH, Pittsburgh Regional Transit, and other national rail clients throughout the United States. Opportunities can include managing younger staff. Workload will include some, but not all, of the tasks described below.What You'll Do:Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).Leads or actively participates in client contract scoping and negotiations.Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction.Performs technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.Leads the development and the execution of the project management plan.Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including, but not limited to; recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff.Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mini-mega and mega projects.Works with the project team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials.Leads proposal development and interview presentations for strategic, mini-mega, and mega projects to the client.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.2 years of successful management of engineering projects.What You'll Bring:Winning, contracting, and successfully delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi-disciplined projects.Identifying and handling risk and change management with guidance from more experienced staff.Leading a team on mid-sized and/or moderately complex projects.Using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver mid-sized and/or moderately complex projects.Leading with minimal assistance from the Office Management Team in implementing HNTB Sophisticated processes as applicable to the project.Serving as the lead interface with the client on moderately complex projects.What We Prefer:12 years relevant experience.2 years of managing people and/or projects.Professional Engineer (PE) certification.American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.Project Management Professional (PMP).Additional InformationClick here for benefits information: HNTB Total Rewards.Click here to learn more about EOE including disability and vet.Visa sponsorship is available for this position.#J-18808-Ljbffr
