Job Description:

Rail Transit Program Manager Construction Manager to join our team in our Transportation practice in the Boston office.

The primary duties of the Rail Transit Manager are to expand the rail/transit CM practice in the Northeast. Responsibilities include strategic planning and direction, client management, quality, staff advancement, and marketing. The successful candidate will also function as a project principal or project manager on large-scale construction management projects. The leader will be responsible for CM service functions and will also be instrumental in project pursuits, including the development of proposals and presentations to clients. Through hands-on management, the leader will also ensure that key projects are well planned, organized, and controlled throughout the entire project execution process. This leader will work with resident engineers and team members to ensure responsiveness to clients.

Experience in the management and development of multi-discipline teams on large and complex rail/transit projects is preferred. Ability to work in a dynamic matrix environment with regional and local managers and marketing and production efforts is also essential.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transit design or construction experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in managing large construction management rail/transit projects.
  • Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills. Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, critical thinking, and research abilities.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing multi-discipline teams as well as interfacing successfully with clients.
  • Ability to grow existing or new client relationships, and an ability to generate new work and access new markets for the practice.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Prior experience providing direct supervision to staff, and direction to support teams.
  • Mentor and develop staff.
  • Professional and engaging presentation skills that include the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and effective manner.

Compensation Range: $137,697.82 - $183,597.09
