Job Summary Under the direction of the Loadout Plant Supervisor, the Railperson must be able to operate locomotive and other loadout equipment as necessary. The Railperson interfaces, on a daily basis, with the rest of the operations in this location. The employee holding this job must perform the work activities in a correct, accurate and timely fashion due to the fact that every single work activity in our line of business is crucial for the whole operation, this is job is primarily an outside position. Job Responsibilities Responsible for safe rail movements Operates locomotives Directs train movements Continually inspect track conditions Maintains and cleans locomotives and railyard Fills out forms to report mechanical problems to shop mechanics. Communicates with and cooperates with truckers and customers.
