PACO Group, Inc. (PACO) is seeking a motivated and organized Full Time Railroad Construction Flaggers to support the Resident Engineer's Office for the Port Authority (PA) at PATH facilities. The selected individual will play a critical role in providing construction flagging support in and around active railroads. This position involves ensuring railroad protection during construction activities, coordinating with facility staff and contractors, and supporting construction management operations. The role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of construction and safety practices, and the ability to work under the supervision of the Resident Engineer to maintain safe and efficient operations.
LOCATION - Reporting to the Engineer of Construction, PATH Resident Engineer's Office, One Path Plaza, Journal Square, Jersey City, NJ.
SCOPE - The Port Authority is looking for an organized, highly motivated individual, capable of providing construction flagging support in and around an active railroad. Under the general supervision of the Resident Engineer, performs support duties for various construction projects focusing on railroad protection. Work may consist of a variety of duties of support for construction management operation including construction flagging support.
REQUIREMENTS - Familiar with construction and construction management terms. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Verbal communication includes contract staff, Resident Engineer, facility staff and outside contractors. Must be able to pass a basic railroad safety test given by PATH.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Also, must have a valid driver's license.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability in General Safety knowledge and previous railroad experience preferred. 30 hr. OSHA Construction Safety Training required.
- Majority of the work will be weekend shifts - day and night.
