Working together in teams effectively, support each other to be the best we can be and treat each other with respect and dignity.Plans effectively for the activity and prioritizes tasks.Makes effective use of information to make good decisions in a timely manner.Communicating effectively with others to progress work, acts to preserve long-term relations.Understands how own activities contribute to team and wider organizational goals.Principal AccountabilitiesSafetyPerform all responsibilities with safety as first priority.Continuously evaluate job tasks, and proactively address safety concerns.Perform all functions with an attitude of teamwork, cooperativeness, positive thinking, and responsibility.HousekeepingKeep department floor space organized and clean.Take initiative to lead and complete 6S ProjectsProcessDemonstrates ability to operate and understand the principles of ram extrusion.Manage multiple pieces of equipment and processes at the same timeProperly start up and shutdown the ram extrusion process.Properly setup and tear down ram extrusion dies, clean dies as necessaryMonitor process and identify problems (heats, rates, physical characteristics, quality defects, and ensure product meets specifications)Raw Material - Monitor, fill and/or exchange resin hoppers, complete color changes. Understand and use the Material Transfer System (Silo, Vacuum Pump, Receivers, and Control Panel)Properly record production in Movex, cut up scrap, and package materialsTroubleshoot product defects, process issues, and equipmentAccurately operate downstream cutting equipmentOperate within given scrap rates and productivity metrics.QualityCut stock to correct lengths, and package as necessary.Properly label and identify all materialsAbility to complete all paperwork correctly and in a timely fashionUse QC Tools to accurately inspect and document inspection dataProvide accurate information to the next shift during shift change.Follow Nonconformance Policy when defects are observedMaintenance / Equipment -Complete Operator PM'sWork with Maintenance to ensure that equipment is working properly.Assist Maintenance with tooling and equipment repairs as necessaryHave a complete understanding of normal operating conditions of Chillers, Material Transfer, Nitrogen, Air, Water, and Hydraulic Systems.Additional Responsibilities:Flexible in job assignments plant wide, works overtime as needed to support plant operations.Good attendance record.Perform all other duties as assigned.Function with an attitude of teamwork, cooperativeness, positive thinking, and responsibility at all times.Show up for assigned shifts, pre-arranged coverage, and all required meetings consistently.#LI-DNPKnowledge / Skills / ExperienceExcellent safety and attendance recordStrong mechanical aptitude – Proper use of hand tools, and power tools.
