Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry!BECOME A RAMP AGENT!Our Ramp Agents are responsible for the loading and unloading of baggage, cargo, and mail as applicable onto the aircraft, along with guiding the aircraft to and from gates. You will be ensuring the secure and prompt handling of aircraft on the ground, in compliance with safety standards and airline guidelines. The duties extend to providing support for various ground operations, playing an important role in maintaining the seamless flow of airport services.WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS A RAMP AGENTRepetitive loading and unloading of baggage, cargo, and mail as applicable onto aircraft with accuracyOperate ground service equipment such as pushbacks, tugs, belt loaders, and baggage cartsRead and analyze aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labelsMarshalling aircraft to and from gatesEnsure safe movement of aircraft on the groundLift heavy objects in varying weather conditionsMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areasPerform routine inspections of equipment and report any issuesFollow standard operating procedures for ramp operationsAdapt to the changing of flight schedules and prioritiesExceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United StatesDriver License is requiredAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsAbility to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operationPHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:Ability to lift up to 70 poundsProlonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicableMust be able to push, pullMust be able to reach with arms and grasp with handsMust be able to work at elevated heightsExposure to outdoor elementsMust be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneelMust be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spacesExposure to moderate and at times high noise levelsBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarmsTasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingersSpecific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
