Because of our heritage in the construction and aviation industry, we understand the importance of quality design, customer service, cost containment and on-time delivery.The ramp hostess positionrequires an individual who understands the value of excellent customer service and the ancillary services that are provided by Sheltair to our customers. This position will communicate and provide the necessary resources and services to meet the customer's needs. The Concierge will report to the Line Service Manager and will work with the complete management/supervisory team to ensure prompt responses to our customer's inquiries and requests, and to immediately notify the proper manager/supervisor in the event of any issues or concerns. The position requires the Concierge to work both inside the Executive Terminal and outside on the Aircraft Parking Ramp
  • Meeting, greeting and welcoming the passengers and flight crews of customer aircraft that arrive on the aircraft parking ramp
  • Directing the customers to the terminal facility for facility use or to meet guest's picking them up
  • Pulling rental vehicles around to meet the aircraft so the customer can drive themselves to their destination where applicable
  • Assist with the offloading of luggage/baggage
  • Once the passengers are taken care of, assist the flight crews with any service needs they may require including baggage and transportation assistance
  • Direct the flight crews to the terminal for placing any fuel or service orders
  • Assist the flight crews with trash removal and cleaning of the interior of the aircraft when requested
  • During departure preparation, assist the flight crews with delivery of catering, coffee, ice and newspapers
  • Follow up and ensure all fuel and service orders for departure have been completed so the aircraft can depart on time
  • Assist with loading of luggage from the baggage carts or transportation vehicles into the aircraft
  • Returning rental vehicles from the aircraft parking ramp to the vehicle parking Jot
  • Assist fellow teammates where applicable when not servicing the customer
  • Thank the customers for their business and visit, welcome them back to visit again
  • Assist with improving Best Practices to provide Excellent Customer Service
Skills:
  • Must be well organized
  • Must be able to multi-task throughout the shift
  • Must possess good communication skills including written, verbal and radio communications
  • Must have an understanding of the phonetic alphabet and aviation acronyms
  • Must maintain good working relationships with fellow teammates
  • Must have customer service and/or line service experience
  • Must have knowledge of safety, including the possible hazards on the ramp
  • Must have the ability to learn/use various computer software and Point of Sale systems
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must have the ability to make operational decisions when necessary
  • Ability to speak and read Spanish is a plus!
  • Must have a valid State Driver's License
Qualifications:Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent. An Associate Degree in aviation/business related field is preferred. Minimum of two years in a customer service representative or line service technician position. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass an airport security background check. Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
