Role Purpose Statement The Ramp Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all ground-level activities related to aircraft catering and loading. This role requires a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer service. The supervisor will ensure seamless operations, on-time performance, and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Main Accountabilities - Oversees daily ramp operations, including loading and unloading of catering equipment and supplies.
- Manages ramp personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensures compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA, FAA, and TSA guidelines.
- Conducts regular safety inspections and training sessions.
- Coordinates with flight operations and catering teams to ensure timely and accurate loading of aircraft.
- Monitors and optimizes ramp efficiency, including equipment utilization and workflow.
- Resolves operational issues and problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintains accurate records and reports on ramp activities and performance metrics.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Previous experience in ramp operations or a related field.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate ground service equipment.
