Responsibilities:
* Plan, forecast, schedule, and communicate transportation activities with dispatch between main production site, logistics unit and JFK Airport and ensure on time delivery of high-quality products, goods, and services.
* Plan, forecast, schedule, and communicate transportation activities.
* Train, supervise and motivate team members and answer their questions and concerns, manage their time schedule.
* Ensure smooth and efficient operations, supply chain management.
* Train employees on ramp safety SOPs as well as motivate the team members and supervise them.
* Communicate equipment orders to employees, vendors, and customers.
* Assist Ramp Safety Manager and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
* Excellent planning and coordination skills
* Team leader qualities and outstanding communication skills
* Able to to meet requirements necessary to obtain a PANYNJ ID (Port Authority NY/NJ) per TSA regulations and, more specifically, 49 CFR 1542.209.
* Dedication to customer service and attention to detail
* Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)
* Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
* Dedication and attention to detail with regards to customer service
* Hands-on approach to ensure all flights are successfully dispatched on time
* Able to manage quickly to overcome any deficiencies in the transportation department.
* Minimum of 3 years of work experience in related field/Preferably as Ramp Safety Officer
* Proficient computer skills (Particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* High School diploma or equivalent
