Enriching Lives Everyday is our vision and our constant goal.JOB IDENTIFICATION:Job Title: Range Picker-Golf CenterGrade: II - $14.00-$17.00/hourFLSA: Non-ExemptDepartment: Revenue FacilitiesSUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:Reports to: Superintendent of Revenue Facilities Golf and Facilities SupervisorSupervises: N/ABASIC FUNCTION: Clear range of golf balls to ensure fluid operation of the Golf Center and assure that customers always have balls available to hit. In addition, help with other seasonal duties as assigned by supervisor.We are seeking part-time employees able to work 2-3 shifts per week.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:* Pick the range of golf balls; maintain netting on range* Change water in ball washer and wash out; keep ball room clean and orderly* Maintain range picker cart. Make sure there is always gas and oil* Fill out daily reports and turn them into Front Desk* Ability to work independently* Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays* Rake balls from sides of nets and back of range* Communicate ball box levels with Management and Front Desk* Check conveyors and blowers for proper operation and report any problems to a supervisorOTHER DUTIES:* Clean and maintain ball room* Be aware of grounds maintenance cutting schedule* Occasional building custodial duties* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Staff, Management and Front Desk* Follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Park District Safety and Crisis ManualsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Less than Highs SchoolExperience: Must be at least 18 years oldNo prior work experience requiredCertifications: Valid IL Driver's License requiredPERKS & BENEFITS: PART TIME STAFF* All recreational facilities at no charge during active employment, discounts for dependents* A free individual outdoor pool pass to three aquatic facilities, or family pass at 50% discount* A free annual or monthly fitness center and/or indoor aquatic center pass* Rent meeting/party spaces at 50% discount* No charge for general programs/pre-registration (some exclusions apply)* Contractual classes/programs at a discounted rate* All golf facilities at no charge including Golf Center Golf Course, Lake Park, and Mountain View Adventure CenterDes Plaines Park District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
