Are you ready to dive headfirst into the exhilarating world of corporate video production? We're seeking a talented Rapid Response Camera/Editor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind capturing unforgettable moments and transforming them into captivating videos that leave a lasting impression.Imagine being at the forefront of every exciting event, ready to capture the action as it unfolds. You'll be our go-to person for time-sensitive situations, breaking news, and unexpected opportunities. With your expert camera skills, you'll ensure that every shot is perfectly framed and every detail is captured flawlessly.But your talent doesn't stop there. You'll also be our video editing maestro. With your keen eye for storytelling, you'll bring together footage, sound, and effects to create compelling narratives that truly engage our audience. Your editing skills will be the secret ingredient that transforms raw footage into polished and impactful videos.Collaboration is key in this role. You'll work closely with our cross-functional team of producers, writers and designers to ensure that our videos align with our organization's goals and objectives. Together, we'll create videos that not only captivate our audience but also deliver a powerful message.We're looking for someone with a passion for storytelling and a creative mind. Your ability to think on your feet and adapt to fast-paced environments will be crucial. This role requires you to be on-site at our modern Eden Prairie, Minnesota office five days a week, with exciting travel opportunities to capture the pulse of different locations and events.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation and Development:
    • Generate creative ideas for videos based on time-sensitive events and projects
    • Develop scripts, shot lists, and other necessary pre-production materials
    • Coordinate and execute video shoots, including managing equipment, locations, talent, and crew
    • Conduct interviews, capture footage, and oversee the production process, including all required creative: design, music, etc
    • Ensure videos are visually appealing, well-paced, and effectively communicate the desired message
    • Collaborate with the team to gather feedback and make necessary revisions
  • Project Management:
    • Work closely with the rapid-response producer to prioritize and manage multiple video projects simultaneously
    • Ensure videos are delivered on time and meet the required quality standards
    • Maintain organized files and asset management systems for easy retrieval and future reference
    • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies related to video production
    • Track and update workstream progress in team project management application
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate effectively with rapid-response team and all other team members as needed to align video content with overall marketing strategies
    • Communicate project status, timelines, and potential issues to team members and stakeholders
    • Provide creative input, share best practices, and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Account Management
    • Oversight of relationship with between Rapid-Response Team and clients
    • Determine client needs and how to meet them on budget and on time
    • Manage project to ensure clients' goals are met

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a camera operator and video editor, ideally in a fast-paced or rapid-response environment, such as a television newsroom
  • Proven ability to manage tight timelines
  • Able to work effectively as a team or independently
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of video production, including all elements included in pre-production and post-production
  • Proficient in video editing software and production tools
  • Proficiency in video editing techniques, including cutting, trimming, color grading, and sound editing and mixing
  • Ability to work in the field and deliver content while traveling
  • Excellent script writing, storytelling, and creative thinking abilities
  • Efficient project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
  • Asset management skills with the ability to organize multiple file types
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • A portfolio showcasing previous video production work under tight timelines is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel 50%+

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in video editing software and production tools, preferably with full knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • Knowledge of Adobe Workfront
  • Experience with cloud-based video collaboration platforms
