Job DescriptionResponsible for the operational performance of their assigned area to continually meet production, preventative maintenance, and regulatory compliance targets while on shift.Tasks & Responsibilities
- Knows, understands, and follows all Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.
- Operate and certify in Raw Material Handling Equipment
- Performs Lock out/ Tag out and issues safety permits
- Creates and maintains a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assists Shift Lead and Safety department regarding safety and emergency measures and realization of safety and emergency plans.
- Operates and maintains a clean work area
- Retrieve samples as needed
- Participate in mandatory on-site and off-site training courses that include safety, regulatory requirements, handling of hazardous and volatile materials, and equipment repair and maintenance
- Troubleshooting equipment
- Performs incidental/preventative maintenance in operating areas
- Maintains compliance in mandatory training as per company specs
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of operational and industrial principles
- 3 years of experience in production, maintenance, engineering and/or process improvement roles including leading teams of people
- Minimum of 3 years operating heavy equipment (Cranes, Excavators, Skidsteer, Dozers, Manlifts, etc.)
- Working knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in though environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise & dust), and withstand heights of up to 500 feet.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Skills will be used to produce quality reports and thorough instructions and directions.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card
