Raw Materials Operator - Plant 2 (C Shift 7AM to 730PM)

SAFETY:1) Understand and follow all safety procedures a) Current on all safety trainingsb) Wear all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)2) Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas3) Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures 4) Complete General Plan Safety Training within the first 8 weeksRESPONSIBILITIES:1) Receive raw material (wood chip) delivered at the facility2) Load and unload wood chip with wheel loader3) Grind wood chip using plane machinery to produce wood flakes4) Adjust and sharpen plane blades as required5) Load the mixing platform with wood flakes to be used for production line 6) Prepare and perform maintenance of molding plate7) Ensure molding plate to be free of particles of dust before placing raw material to make patterns8) Move plates with forklift and/or hoist crane 9) Grind defective plates by using hand tools to reuse as raw material10) Prepare and maintain records of raw material received, weights of raw material used, plane blades usage information, defected plates count, and other pertinent information required11) Report machinery equipment damage or malfunction to Supervisor12) Adhere to safety policy and procedures related to all facets of job13) Preforms other related duties as assignedSKILLS:1) High school diploma or equivalent2) Forklift Certification preferred3) Wheel Loader Certification preferred4) Experience in operating hoist crane preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1) Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs2) Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.3) Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy 4) Must be able to safely walk and work around Must be able to work required shift and work overtime with short notice machinery5) Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperaturesBEHAVIORS:1) Safety a) Holds Self and Others accountableb) Contributes to The Nichiha Way c) Shares lessons learned on safety practicesd) Demonstrates self-care and mutual-care2) Cooperationa) Team Playerb) Treats others with respectc) Helps others d) Communicates effectivelye) Thinks of team before self3) Personal Awarenessa) Self-awareness of strengths and weaknessesb) Understanding of adhering to company policies and procedures (attendance, timekeeping, housekeeping)c) Open to constructive feedback d) Actively seeks ways to develop4) Knowledge and Problem Solvinga) Effectively assist in resolving issues using job knowledge and skillsb) Able to identify issues and actively seeks to resolvec) Offers pragmatic solutions d) Continuously seeks new and innovative work methods5) Imitative and Productivitya) Understands performance expectations (quality, timeliness)b) Strives to improve efficiency / bottleneck issuesc) Adaptive to new ways of improvementd) Questions current status for improvements
