Job SummaryThe Ready-Mix Shop Foreman will oversee the maintenance of all mobile equipment and the shop mechanics, parts runners, and laborers. The foreman must be able to perform hands-on repairs and have hand tools to do any necessary maintenance job. The Foreman also manages the planning and coordination of the daily ready-mix shop personnel, including demonstrating and leading our safety culture, developing the team, scheduling, performance management, and effective leadership of the hourly workforce.

CompensationResponsibilities- Must be knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of Ready Mix trucks, dump trucks, and various other types of
- equipment used in the Ready Mix industry.
- Supervises, coordinates and monitors tasks and plant activities according to priorities and plans
- Allocates general and daily responsibilities
- Supports and assists personnel in achieving timely and efficient production schedules
- Ensures manpower and resources are adequate
- Oversees the overall safety of all personnel working at or visiting the shop
- Ensures proper documentation of operation activities in logs and/or incident reports
- Maintains an effective system of communication with all team members, landowners, and customer truck drivers
- Ability to take direction well from managers and work with managers in other departments
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting of up to 75 lbs., use of hand and power tools, climbing, bending, squatting, lifting, stretching, driving, riding, twisting, pushing/pulling of controls, and riding on rough terrain
- Can be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
EducationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent
Requirements/Qualifications- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- 3-5 years of experience on mixers, welding, and hands-on maintenance on all aspects of a heavy-duty truck
- Strong leadership, organization, interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work varying shifts including overtime, nights, and weekends
- The ability to work safely is a must
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation to work
Preferred:
- Leadman experience
- CDL and heavy equipment experience
Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
