Nova Biomedical is hiring a Reagent Test Assistant in our Waltham, MA facility on the Split Shift (11:30 AM - 8:00 P.M.). The Reagent Test Assistant will perform testing of various calibrators, controls, and additional reagents required to support company produced and OEM analyzers, by means of verbal and/or written instruction under the supervision of the Group Leader/Supervisor. Other responsibilities include:
- Training in the setting up, qualification, operation and troubleshooting of various analyzers and lab equipment.
- Recording and reporting results as to whether the reagent/control has met specification to the Group Leader/Supervisor of Test lab.
- Training in performing titrations, pH measurements, flame photometry, microbial culture test and viscosity
- Assisting in cleaning of Test Lab to ensure work area is neat and safe.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
- Read and write English and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Perform basic math.
- Entry level knowledge of Quality System Regulations (QSR)
- Entry level knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Entry level knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to work alternately in a seated or standing position.
- Willingness to learn, ability to adapt to change, and a positive attitude.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to work as part of a team or individually.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 0-2 years' experience in a testing/laboratory setting or comparable environment is desired.
- Related experience in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) environment is desired.
