Job Description:

Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the Best Places to Work in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Real Estate Credit Administrator to join our Credit Risk Management team at our corporate office in Novato.

The Real Estate Credit Administrator manages the safe growth of the Bank's Commercial Real Estate loan portfolio. In a team-oriented environment, maintains a high degree of customer service while also maintaining the integrity of the credit management process by ensuring credit presentations are accurate and thorough, risk grades are accurate and timely, and loan structures are appropriate to manage risk. Supports ongoing improvement in the credit process by recommending and implementing policy and procedure modifications as necessary, to meet market and regulatory changes. Responsibilities also include management of of the Real Estate Credit Management team.

Essential Job Functions:

* Maintain the integrity of the credit management process by enforcing Bank policies and procedures.

* Monitor commercial real estate portfolio for weakness, and recommend and implement appropriate procedures and actions as necessary.

* Approve within delegated authority Credit Recommendations. Ensure that credits are accurately risk graded, appropriately structured, and that sources of repayment and key credit risks are accurately identified and mitigated as appropriate.

* Manage Real Estate Credit Management team, including establishing goals, assessing and rating job performance, and oversight of team's functions.

* Oversee Non-Owner Occupied Annual Review Process and CRE Stress Test

* Interface with regulators regarding the Bank's Commercial Real Estate lending procedures and policies.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

* Provide ongoing guidance and training to commercial lenders regarding commercial real estate lending and property valuation.

* Other duties may be assigned.

Professional / Educational Experience:

* Minimum 10 years related experience and/or training. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Additional Requirements:

* Strong commercial real estate underwriting skills.

* Strong understanding of documentation of complex commercial real estate credits, including notes, loan agreements, security agreements and title documents.

* Excellent communication skills, with ability to quickly understand and communicate concepts both verbally and in written form.

* Excellent accounting knowledge (college coursework or equivalent work experience) as applied to credit underwriting.

The hiring pay range for this position is $152,637 to $232,972. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
