successful commercial real estate development and investment company is hiring a Real Estate Development Analyst (Development Analyst) to join its team in Washington, DC. The company invests in and develops a variety of asset types in major urban centers across the US.

The Development Analyst will play a key role on the development team, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to the success of large-scale projects. Reporting to the Director of Development and working closely with and supporting the development and construction teams, the Development Analyst will be immersed in the development process. This role involves conducting detailed market and competitive research and performing complex, accurate financial analyses, requiring an analytical mindset and attention to detail. The Firm offers comprehensive training that builds on existing skills and expands capabilities.

LOCATION

Washington, D.C. (hybrid role)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis on a real estate-related discipline (e.g., finance, development, etc.), economics, mathematics, architecture, engineering or other real estate or construction-related field is required. Graduate degree preferred.
• Must have high attention to detail and demonstrate excellent skills in financial analysis, mathematics and statistics. This role requires working with complex databases and/or quantitative tools with proficiency and accuracy for extended periods of time.
• No prior commercial real estate experience is required, however, self-motivation and demonstration of a proactive initiative to maximize “on-the-job” training opportunities and the aptitude to acquire specialized knowledge and skill set is required.
• Must have a strong work ethic and remain committed to meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to interact professionally and while multi-tasking in a fast paced, complex working environment.
