This is an incredible opportunity to join a forward-thinking team, working on complex and high-profile cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of real estate and financial services litigation matters, from inception through trial. This role will be instrumental in our company's goal to provide top-notch legal services to our clients. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of complex legal issues related to real estate and financial services litigation.
- Provide legal advice to clients on their rights and obligations, keeping in mind the business implications of the legal advice.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in real estate and financial services disputes.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and other staff to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.
- Participate in firm development and marketing activities, such as networking events, client seminars, and contributing to firm publications.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on real estate and/or financial services litigation.
- Demonstrated experience in handling complex litigation matters from inception through trial.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve matters in the client's best interest.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and tasks simultaneously and to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong commitment to client service and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Willingness to participate in firm development and marketing activities.
