Position Purpose

The Real Estate Lending Sales Manager will lead a team of Mortgage Loan Origination to achieve stated goals. A successful candidate will be skilled in recruiting, coaching, and developing Mortgage Loan Originators, as well as promoting departmental growth. Ideal candidates will possess strong leadership skills, relationship building skills not only in the real estate lending department but also across all departments in the credit union. Candidates should be organized, strategic thinkers, and possess the ability to promote and manage change.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Direct supervision of REV's Real Estate Lending Sales Team:

* Sounds judgement in recruiting and hiring, ongoing performance management, goal setting, coaching, training, and motivating the team.

* Drive loan production growth and coach employees to succeed in meeting their production expectations.

* Assist loan originators with improving their sales practices, business development, and lead generation.

* Accountability for the sales team's performance, regulatory adherence, compliance, and overall contributions.

* Attend ride alongs with Mortgage Loan Originators to promote business development opportunities and to identify coaching opportunities.

* Represents the credit union professionally and courteously to all parties connect to the credit union. This includes, but is not limited to members, potential members, all REV team members as well as potential sources of business within the communities REV serves.

* Identifies and collaborates with leadership and marketing for promotions and efforts supporting Real Estate Lending.

* Coordinates the participation of the real estate lending team in marketing events to include, but not limited to, realtor associations, builder associations, chambers of commerce, and industry networking events.

* Monitors the industry for tends, keep abreast of potential changes impacting REV and our membership.

* Collaborates with leadership on product development, incentive planning, strategic goal planning, budgeting and various other initiatives.

* Provides a vision, delivers superior results, and tactfully executes the direction of projects, goals, priorities, and activities pertaining to current and future business.

* Monitors the real estate lending pipeline to ensure all department standards are being followed.

* Complies with all applicable rules and regulations including, but not limited to those related to BSA, the PATRIOT Act, OFAC, CFPB, and TRID.

* Establishes and maintains strong partnership with all REV internal departments with an emphasis on the relationship with retail and commercial teams for cross referral opportunities.

* Ensure completion of administrative tasks within purview including but not limited to timesheet approval, incentive payout approval, and general management responsibilities.

* Assumes responsibility for other duties as assigned.

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

* Minimum 8+ years of experience with sales management within residential lending.

* A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a similar field is preferred; significant relevant experiences may be considered in place of formal education.

* NMLS license.

Skills & Abilities:

* Working knowledge and experience in mortgage origination, lending operations, and supervision.

* Experience with TPO/Correspondent and Low/Moderate Income programs required.

* Strong analytical skills, combined with the ability to lead a team to achieve performance metrics.

* Strong relationship skills including the ability to connect and work with various personality types.

* Ability to coach mortgage origination lead sourcing strategies.

* Ability to positively represent REV at networking events and business development functions.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

* Experience with mortgage loan software required (Encompass and Consumer Connect preferred.

* Ability to work with Mortgage Loan Originators to review scenarios and provide recommendations for program options as needed.

* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.

* Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with members, and team members.

* Proven ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize, multi-task; detail orientated.
