Job DetailsLevel Entry Job Location Vienna1 - Vienna, MO Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Travel Percentage Negligible Job Shift Day Job Category Banking DescriptionGeneral Statement of Duties: The Real Estate Loan Processor is responsible for creating the proper loan documentation for loan packages created within The Maries County Bank. This position reviews, analyzes and creates loan packages to ensure that acceptable credit standards are maintained and that loans conform to established company policies, guidelines, and regulations. This position provides specialized and technical administrative support to The Maries County Bank Loan Officers. Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize, and organize the diversified workload. Upholding customer confidentiality is a must. This position will assist in other areas of the loan department on an as needed basis. Essential Job Functions:
  • Analyze and ensure loan information is complete and accurate before processing.
  • Processes paperwork for payments or fees.
  • Provides loan status reports to management on a regular basis and attends loan meetings as needed.
  • Transcribes and/or types a variety of technical and non-technical correspondence and documents such as new loans, loan renewals, loan extensions, and letters.
  • Assists customers and other financial institutions over the phone, in person, or in writing with routine inquiries regarding payoffs, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other loan details.
  • Assembles loan documentation and verifies its' accuracy.
  • Analyze and create documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates, and signatures.
  • Maintains new and paid customer loan files.
  • Performs a variety of clerical duties in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Inputs loan data into the computer system.
  • Provide recommendations and requirements to ensure loans meet acceptable policies, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Comprehends general ledger accounts/transactions.
  • Files loan documents such as financial statements, credit files, income tax statements, loan extensions and other information as deemed necessary by the bank's loan compliance policies.
  • Analyzes loans and cash flow statements as requested.
  • Determines if loan request is within lending limits and prescribed guidelines.
  • Prepares loan packages in accordance with financial standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Follows bank policies and procedures, including state and federal regulations at all times.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the bank's lending policies and procedures and attends various educational programs to keep abreast of new loan and banking trends, policies, and procedures.
  • Uses problem-solving and team building skills to resolve issues.
  • Assists with the filing and record keeping of departmental information.
  • Maintains departmental appearance, both personal and general.
  • Actively cross-sells bank services to customers.
  • Answers the main phone line as needed.
  • Serves customers in a cordial and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction with the service provided by the bank.
  • Takes advantage of opportunities to promote the Bank when involved in voluntary community activities and civic organizations to cross sell the Bank's products and services.
  • Assists in other departments as needed and acts as a resource to other departments regarding lending issues.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience with loan application software, policies, procedures, and documentation preferred.
  • One-year prior experience in an office or financial institution environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform loan analysis and cash-flows.
  • Knowledge of the bank's departmental operations, policies, procedures, and compliance regulations preferred.
  • Experience with PC software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and changing technology, including word-processing, spreadsheets, Internet, and internal bank software.
  • Ability to utilize general office equipment such as typewriters, copy machines, calculators, and fax machines.
  • Prior experience working within a team environment preferred.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for accuracy with numbers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
