Real Estate Operations Associate

Real Estate Advisory is responsible for the asset management of real property investments held in trusts and estates and for providing clients with strategic guidance and due diligence assistance for real estate matters. We are filling an open position for a Real Estate Operations Associate to facilitate the day-to-day functions of Bessemer Trust's Real Estate Advisory group. This department is responsible for the following:
* Real estate asset management of trust or estate held discretionary real estate and certain non-fiduciary owned real estate.
* Advisory and Consulting Services for real estate assets, interests in real estate held by clients. .
* Providing oversight and administration to comply with policy, OCC and applicable state regulatory compliance related to real property under supervision.
The Real Estate Operations Associate will report to a senior Asset Manager and will provide support to the Real Estate Advisory practice in the administration and management of discretionary real estate assets. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to take proactive responsibility for a broad range of critical tasks needed for the prudent administration of real estate assets. This role will require timely attention to detail and the ability to work with internal and external parties with broad responsibility on a primary or secondary basis for the administration of real estate and entities under supervision
Responsibilities:
Real Estate Asset Management Support
Support real estate Asset Managers and Client Advisors with real estate asset onboarding, account management, due diligence, and record keeping for discretionary real estate asset management.
Regulatory Compliance
Assist with obtaining periodic property inspections and valuations for discretionary real estate assets. Coordinate internally with Client Advisors and Asset Managers for retaining, administering and scheduling outside professionals.
Real Estate Operations
Support the senior Real Estate Operations member with account opening workflow process, maintaining Real Estate Advisory's property management software system, internal reporting, and recurring regulatory responsibilities.
Departmental Administration Support
Preparation of materials and critical date tracking for internal reporting to fee department, banking committees, internal audit, vendor management, business continuity, and other internal departments.
Lease Administration
Assist Asset Managers with administration of residential and commercial leases and occupancy agreements. Monitor lease critical dates, payment of rent, and compliance with lease provisions. Verify the workflow process for receipt of rent and deposits into appropriate accounts.
Insurance Administration
Oversee the administration of insurance associated with real property including property and liability insurance, tenant insurance, evidence of insurance for vendors and service providers . Utilize the property management system to track limits of insurance, critical dates and other information.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related business experience required
* Basic Knowledge of Real Estate & Fiduciary concepts
* Knowledge of property insurance administration a plus
* Knowledge of vendor contract administration a plus
* Superior analytical & independent problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated teamwork qualities
* Successful candidate must be results driven, detailed oriented and a motivated self-starter
* Working knowledge of Yardi Property Management
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
