Summary:The Real Estate Paralegal conducts legal research and provides support to the department. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate law, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities: - Understands title and legal documentation including Title Insurance Commitments and Policies.
- Knowledge of various conveyancing documents including deeds and leasehold documents.
- Familiarity with Trust documents, Powers of Attorney
- Ability to independently review title documents and produce written analysis.
- Ability to use various programs like MS Word, Outlook and Excel in preparation of documents and correspondence.
- Knowledge of New York Consolidation, Extension and Modification (CEMA) process a plus but not required.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Experience in residential or commercial finance, or mortgage banking experience a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills.
Education and/or Experience:- Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University or or paralegal certificate from a recognized paralegal program.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Real Estate, Title or Foreclosure department of law firm, title insurance company or other legal environment required.

Work Complexity:Problems and issues faced are general, and require interpretation and some analysis of FFOC's policies and procedures to understand and resolve.
