We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and skilled Real Estate Account Analyst to join our team. This role involves managing and ensuring the accuracy of transaction records, financial processing, and control transaction processes within our property management system. Your efforts will directly impact accurate payments, billing corrections, and data integrity for customer and landlord accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile landlord accounts by reviewing general and sub ledgers, ensuring compliance with legal contracts, and recommending necessary adjustments. Collaborate with property teams to negotiate settlements and update records in the property management system.
- Communicate effectively with landlords to explain contract terms, account reconciliations, and overpayment collection solutions.
- Interpret and research legal documents and contracts, coordinating with internal departments and external account holders to ensure billing, payments, and data accuracy. Escalate issues as necessary.
- Update the property management system to reflect accurate contract terms, directly impacting billing, payments, and financial statements.
- Administer recurring processes affecting monthly financials, including revenue and expense escalations, terminations, and data corrections to prevent financial inaccuracies.
- Work on special accounts, data integrity reports, and exception-based projects.
- Develop a thorough understanding of system data flows and requirements, ensuring compliance with financial processing standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
Experience:
- 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- Familiarity with reviewing legal real estate contracts (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, detail-oriented role.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to interpret legal documents.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and strong analytical/reporting capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to meet strict monthly deadlines.
